East Lake Woods is a gated, restricted residential subdivision on the shore of Lake Tyler East in Smith County, Texas.

The first residence was completed in East Lake Woods in the fall of 1995. There are now over 120 residences in East Lake Woods; virtually all are full-time residences.

East Lake Woods is an unincorporated subdivision. Postal service is provided by the Arp, Texas, Post Office. The subdivision lies wholly within the Arp Independent School District. Police service falls under the jurisdiction of the Smith County Sheriff's Department.

East Lake Woods is governed by the East Lake Woods Homeowners Association whose membership comprises all property owners of the subdivision.
